This was great look for Alexa at The 2007 MTV Movie Awards. Her hair was pulled up into a soft style in the middle at the back of her head and long pieces of hair were left to fall around her face to create a softer look for the front of her 'do. The hair falling down and around her face makes this style great for longer face shapes because the falling hair will cover and shorten the length of a longer face shape.

Prom Updo Hair Style

Vannessa Anne Hudgens is wearing an all over curly prom hair style that will go great with a plunging neckline. To create this style, apply a curl enhancing cream or gel all over damp hair.

Blow dry the hair using a diffuser attachment and just your fingers to shape the hair. If you have naturally curly hair, you may be able to create the curls by taking small strands of hair and twisting them with your fingers.

Aim the blow dryer directly at each strand as you twist it.If you don't have naturally curly hair, you will need the help of a small to medium sized curling iron to create the all over waves.

Add extra height in the crown area by gently back combing small sections of hair and smoothing over the top with your fingers.

Part the hair deep on one side and loosely pull back the hair and twist into a mid-height chignon.  Pull out strands around the face and sides for the extra sexy prom hair style.  Use a small barrel curling iron to add pin curls to these loose strands.

Finish off with a strong hold styling spray all over.
