Avril Lavigne has shown us many different looks that would work for the prom.  Take this long hair style, see photo left.  This style features golden strands on top with black strands on the bottom/back of the hair.

 

 

This style can be created without the use of any chemicals by using hair extensions.  If you have blonde hair, just purchase some long black hair extensions and clip them into your natural hair underneath for a stunning contrast.
