Pictured left is an example of a prom partial updo with a little twist in the back. Create this style as Andrea Bowen has done by first blow drying the hair straight. For the extra smooth finish like Andrea's, you may need to run a flat iron over the hair from the roots to the ends.
Next, pull back a section of hair on both sides of the crown area, leaving the hair in the middle straight. Attach a ponytail holder to combine the small sections of hair you have pulled back.
Next take the bottom portion of the ponytail and push it up, close to the head, and completely over. You are basically moving the ponytail section of hair 180 degrees.
"The twist in the back of this hair style can be used with any of the partial updo styles we have seen before. With this simple touch, you can look fantastic from the front and from the back!" Nikki
