This is an example, see Megan Fox left, of a soft, gentle wavy prom hair style.  The hair just flows and looks very shiny and silky.

 

Create this style by applying a straightening cream all over damp hair.  Blow dry the hair using a large round brush.  Next, use a curling iron or hot rollers to add some gentle waves throughout.

 

If you would like a little height in the crown area, like Megan, you can gently back comb small sections of hair.  Part the hair deep on one side and sweep the hair from one side of the head to the other, leaving an indiscriminate part.

 

Finish the style by applying a shine serum and finishing spray to seal in the shine.
